Long story short, I got robbed.
Well, we did.
My boyfriend Pat, one of our roommates and myself.
On Memorial day weekend someone broke into the house while we were all out, Pat and I all the way in New York.
Swiped my laptop, another laptop, an xbox, a few cameras and Pat's backpack to carry it all out of the house.
I decided not to blog about it for a while because one, I had no internet, and
two, everything was still logged into on my laptop and I didn't want to give those fuckers any real-time information about me, because they already had access to enough.
But despite being an entire graphic design portfolio, thousands of photos and 1,300 bucks out (fuck you, Apple!), I've had to move on and start everything over.
I've liked it way better like this, to be honest. Only hopping on here to check what things I can in an hour (such is the library time limit), going on Facebook only to check what messages I have and not being able to even stand to look at my news feed on there.. but I'm probably happiest about having to rebuild [most of'] my photography and design porfolios from the ground up.
I have no more design software, so I'll be doing everything by hand now, except for scanning things in.
And that really, really excites me beyond belief.
I've still got my Rebel, so I'll continue to ravage the city with that thing, and learning how to develop film on my own, finally.
I have a bunch of projects with friends in the works, which I'll post up on here when I can.
But now, I'm off!
Time limit is up.
Like a dead bird, kinda...?
